“Airports are often a passenger’s first impression of the city they are entering, so our job is to make their time inside of a stressful area the most pleasant experience it can be.” - Michelle Lange,
We had a fantastic meeting with Michelle Lange, a professional interior designer from Corgan, and gained valuable insight into Aviation Design. Michelle shared her background and expertise, highlighting her role in designing spaces within airports and aviation facilities. Her presentation emphasized the unique challenges and creative opportunities that come with designing for large-scale, high-traffic environments.
She walked us through the key considerations that guide aviation projects, such as passenger experience, wayfinding, functionality, and safety standards, while also addressing the importance of integrating branding and aesthetics into terminal spaces. Michelle explained how designers must balance efficiency with comfort, ensuring that travelers not only move through spaces smoothly but also feel welcomed and at ease.
Thank you, Michelle, for an educational and intriguing presentation, and for sharing your insights into Aviation Design!
